On the dots. 258 of the 294 communities geocode to a street address. The remaining 36 sit on newer streets the Census address file does not carry; those are placed at the centre of their own city (25) or county (11) and are drawn with a hollow ring rather than a solid fill. Bed counts, names, licence class and administrators are exact in every case — only the pin position is approximate. On the licence classes. Kentucky licenses memory care separately as a secured dementia care unit certification (ALC-DC), and many campuses hold both licences at one address — two licences with two separate bed counts, which add together. Rather than stack one dot invisibly on another, co-located licences are nudged onto a tiny ring so both stay clickable.
