On the dots. 535 of the 601 communities geocode to a street address. The remaining 66 sit on newer streets the Census address file does not carry; those are placed at the centre of their own city (44) or county (22) and are drawn with a hollow ring rather than a solid fill. Bed counts, names, licence class and administrators are exact in every case — only the pin position is approximate. On the licence classes. Missouri issues one assisted living licence per community and certifies part of its capacity for Alzheimer's care. That special care unit capacity is a subset of the community's licensed capacity, so a community with 80 beds of which 30 are Alzheimer-certified has 80 beds, not 110. Dots are sized by total licensed capacity, and the memory-care figure is shown inside each record.
