The map
Scroll or pinch to zoom, drag to pan, click a county to fly to it, or press + and − with the map focused. Dots hold their size on screen as you zoom, so clustered communities pull apart instead of staying stacked. Names appear past 2.5×. Click any dot for the full record.

Communities
On the dots. Coordinates are published by the state with the directory itself, so every one of the 2000 communities sits at its own recorded position and nothing here is geocoded or approximated. On the licence classes. Texas issues one assisted living licence per community and certifies part of its capacity for Alzheimer's care. That alzheimer-certified capacity is a subset of the community's licensed capacity, so a community with 80 beds of which 30 are Alzheimer-certified has 80 beds, not 110. Dots are sized by total licensed capacity, and the memory-care figure is shown inside each record.
