Aether Forge ("we," "our," or "us") develops I2I: Incident to Insight ("the App"). This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles your information.
Summary
I2I does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Period.
The App runs entirely on your local device. All data you enter — including incident reports, patient information, investigation notes, corrective actions, and attachments — is stored in a local database file on your computer. No data is sent to Aether Forge, any cloud service, or any third party.
Data Storage
- All incident data is stored in a local SQLite database file (
data/i2i.db) on your device. - Uploaded attachments are stored in the
data/uploads/folder on your device. - Application settings (practice name, configuration) are stored in the same local database.
- No data is stored on external servers, cloud storage, or remote databases.
Data Collection
The App does not collect any data, including but not limited to:
- Personal information
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Device information or identifiers
- Location data
- Crash reports
- Cookies or tracking technologies
Data Transmission
The App does not transmit any data over the internet. The App operates as a local web server accessible only on your device (localhost). No network connections to external services are initiated by the App.
The App does load visual assets (Bootstrap CSS framework and Bootstrap Icons) from a content delivery network (CDN) when the application is running. These are standard open-source styling libraries. No user data or incident data is transmitted during these requests.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, APIs, or platforms.
Protected Health Information (PHI)
I2I may be used in healthcare settings where Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is entered into incident reports. Because all data remains on the user's local device:
- Aether Forge does not access, process, store, or transmit PHI.
- Aether Forge is not a Business Associate under HIPAA.
- The user is solely responsible for the physical and logical security of the device on which I2I is installed.
- The user is responsible for compliance with applicable privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA where applicable.
Data Backup and Deletion
- Backup: To back up your data, copy the
data/folder. All incident records, settings, and attachments are contained within this folder. - Deletion: To permanently delete all data, delete the
data/folder. This action is irreversible. - Portability: To move I2I to another device, copy the entire application directory including the
data/folder.
Children's Privacy
I2I is a business tool intended for use by healthcare professionals and administrators. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Because the App does not collect data or communicate with external servers, there is no mechanism to notify users of policy changes within the App itself.
